Stay Where God Plants You
Multiplication has a publisher, a conference circuit, and a vocabulary. Staying has almost none of that. Small-town Iowa rewards tenure more than almost any context in America. Nobody trusts you in year two, and the funerals you preach in year nine are what buys you a hearing in year fifteen. Worth noticing where this argument came up: a publisher whose entire business is multiplication.
